Gary Hafner

Gary Grant Hafner, age 72, of Beulah, ND, died at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND after heart surgery and complications on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Gary was born on February 21, 1951 to Hubert and Lenora (Ost) Hafner.  He attended and graduated from Beulah Public Schools.  He worked various jobs throughout his lifetime.  

Gary was at times self-employed.  He farmed, did construction, and was, in general, a true handy-man since he could fix just about anything.  

He was still working at J & M Ace Hardware in Beulah before his last surgery. 

He was an avid car enthusiast.  You could usually find him in his garage, repairing or restoring vehicles.  He also enjoyed friends and family.  

He liked getting together "with the guys"  --- his coffee buddies, and hanging out with his brother James and James's family. 

Gary is survived by his children, Jennifer, Benjamin, and Rebekah and their children.  He is also survived by one sister, Lois Hafner of Walnut Grove MN, two Brothers Wes (Cami) Hafner of Walnut Grove MN, and James Hafner of Beulah along with nieces & nephews, grand-nieces, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister Linda, and his parents and grandparents and many aunts, uncles and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM CST on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Beulah.
