Harold Ray Pulver, 85, of Hazen, ND, died peacefully on June 19, 2023 at the Knife River Care Center, Beulah, ND. A Remembrance and Celebration service will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Monday, June 26, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rural Hazen, with Pastor William Wagner officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Harold was born at his family home in Billings, Montana on May 17, 1938, the second oldest of 11 children to Elmer & Violet (Swecker) Pulver. Harold was raised and educated in Billings, Montana. Harold met Victoria Fahlsing in 1998 and on February 12, 1999 he married his loving wife of 24 years.
Harold spent many years as a long haul truck driver and also an iron worker. Harold loved hunting and fishing and talked often of the whopper that got away. His favorite hobby was making planters out of logs he carved out- including a full log train. He had a passion to learn to play the accordion and often attended the jam sessions at the City Hall in Hazen, ND. Harold loved his wife dearly and treated her on special occasions to a bouquet of roses. You almost always knew Harold as he was often seen driving the sidewalks on his scooter in Hazen, ND.
Harold in survived by his beloved wife Vickie, two sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Melody of Hazen, ND and Mark and Becky of Holister, MO; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Stan Pulver; two sisters; Mary Jo (Pulver) Livingston, and Francis (Pulver) & Warren Brester, all of Billings, Montana; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Violet and seven brothers and sisters.
Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
