Jack Dean Thielman, 85, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at his lake home in Beulah. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Beulah, ND at 11:00 AM CDT with Pastor Kathleen Nygaard officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Jack was born in Hazen, ND on July 6, 1939, the second of three children of Theophil (Dave) and Hulda (Baisch) Thielman. He was baptized on December, 20, 1951 and confirmed on June 20, 1954 both at the Zion Lutheran Church in Beulah, ND. He graduated from Beulah in 1957. He joined the Marine Corp in October 1957. He was honorably discharged in 1960. On October 29, 1961 he married his loving wife of 52 years, Donna Renner, in Salome, AZ. They lived in California for a couple years and then moved back to Beulah, ND.
Jack worked for North American Coal for 33 years. After his retirement, he drove school bus and worked at Dakota Waters. He helped numerous friends with projects.
Jack enjoyed his time at the lake fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Jack is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Carissa Thielman, Beulah, ND; daughter, Sandy Goetz, Beulah, ND; his nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Thielman; parents, two sisters and brother-in-law, LaVaun and Duane Johnson and Janet Thielman.
Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
