Jerome Rechie Jabonete, 34, of Hazen, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2022 in the comfort of their home after his short but brave journey with brain cancer. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST, Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at St. Martin Catholic Church, Hazen with Fr. Tom Grafsgaard officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Jerome was born on May 20, 1988 in Calbiga, Philippines and was married to Charmaine, a medical technologist at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen. The couple had a daughter, Euhan, in 2009 and a son, Gavrie, August this year.
Jerome was born and raised in Calbiga were he attended high school and moved to Tacloban City and took up a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology majoring in graphic design. After graduation he worked as a graphic designer in the Philippines for a year and in Saudi Arabia for 8 years before he and his family moved to Hazen in 2020.
Jerome loved hiking, wall and mountain climbing, biking, and skateboarding. He loved riding extreme rides at different theme parks in the Philippines with his daughter. He was adventurous and a thrill seeker but also enjoyed quiet time by sketching and freehand drawing. He was such an artistic and a creative guy.
He is survived by his wife, Charmaine Jabonete, daughter, Euhan and son Gavrie, in-laws, Gilda and Cecilio Marino, aunt, Delilah Ardiente.
Jerome was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosita Pacayra.
