Judith Ann Wieger, 92, of Stanton, ND, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025. A memorial service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on April 15 at 10:00 AM CT at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanton, ND. Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery, Mandan.
Born on November 15, 1932, in New England, ND, to Glenn and Lu (Hanson) Elliott, Judy lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Judy graduated from Stanton High School. In 1952, married Irwin (Tudor) Wieger. Together, they built a life in Stanton, where Judy played an integral role in Tudor’s masonry business, meticulously managing the books and records. Later, she served as a cook at the Stanton School for many years, nourishing the hearts and stomachs of countless students.
Judy's passions extended beyond her work. She was a skilled quilter and a devoted member of the Common Threads Quilters Guild, creating beautiful works of art that will be treasured for generations. She was also a long-time member of Homemakers, contributing to her community and fostering lasting friendships.
Judy's home was a reflection of her unique interests. She proudly displayed her extensive thimble collection and her charming collection of rocking horses. Judy and Tudor shared a love for travel, visiting family, friends, and Tudor’s military buddies across the country and exploring international destinations through tours and cruises.
Judy is survived by daughters, Becky Lundell, Tracy Selders, Jo Gutschmidt, and Kim Poitra; sons, Curt and TJ Wieger; grandchildren, Seth, Lucas, and Samuel Brown, Candice Wieger, Melissa Selders-Ortez, Andrew Selders, Shelly Stockton, and Denise Gutschmidt; great-grandchildren, Bauer, Easton, Tucker, Benjamin, Bode, Olivia, Norah, Aubree, Elliott, and Callum Brown, Emmett and Clark Selders, Allyson and Ethan Knowlton and Ryne Ortez; sister, LuAlice Stockert; and cousin, Ernie Holzberg.
She was preceded in death by husband, Tudor; son, Cam; parents, Glenn and Lu Elliott; and brothers, Glendale and Tom Elliott.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery in Mandan, ND.
