Judy Emma (Bauer) Erickson, 73, died Sunday, March 8, 2020 at St. Alexis Medical Center, Bismarck, N.D. Services will be held at 10 AM CDT Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Beulah Congregational Church, Beulah with Pastor Kent Sperry officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, rural Beulah.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.
Judy was born March 22, 1946, at Beulah, the second of seven children born to Reuben and Hilda (Eisenbeis) Bauer. She was baptized at Hope Congregational Church, Golden Valley; confirmed at Peace Congregational Church, Zap; and graduated from Zap High School in 1964.
She married Leland Erickson on June 1, 1964 in Beulah. They had four children, Scott, Todd, Leann and DJ. She attended hair school in 1985 and later owned and operated Creative Hair & Nails in Beulah.
Judy had been a member of the Beulah Jayceettes, Medicine Butte Homemakers, Red Hat Ladies, Congregational Church, Sunshine Club, and a board member of the Beulah Senior Citizen Club. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening and visiting with family and friends.
Judy is survived by three sons, Scott (Debbie) Erickson, Zion, IL, Todd (Shelly) Erickson, Apple Valley, MN, and DJ (Roberta) Erickson, Beulah; one daughter, Leann (Jeff) Schafer, New Rockford, ND; 15 grandchildren, Michael (Katie) Erickson, Lucas Erickson, Peyton Erickson, Tyler (Tara) Caspers, Megan Erickson, Austin Erickson, Dahlen (Kailee) Staskywicz, Payton (McKayla Roehle) Staskywicz, Chelsey (Kyle) Erdmann, Colten Schafer, Corey Schafer, Tanner (Heather Kottre) Erickson, Trever (Sierra Wetzel) Erickson, Tyler Erickson, and Tucker Erickson; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor and Teagon Caspers, Brailee and Brecklen Staskywicz, Rylan Erickson, Kase Erickson and Kade Erdmann; three sisters, Jan (Ron) Gunsch, Sandie Navratil (friend Jack Dittus) and Shelley (Vance) Giese; two brothers, Lee (Suzy) Bauer, and Marvin (Joyce) Bauer, two sisters-in law, Grace (Jay) McLane and Wanda (Chuck) Gustafson; and special friend, Marvin Erickson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leland; sister, Ruby Krenzel; and six brothers-in-law, Larry Navratil, Matt Krenzel, Carroll (Noreen) Erickson, Cyril Erickson, Earl Erickson and Glenn Erickson.
