Keith A. Heinemeyer, 44, of Hazen, North Dakota died peacefully on July 25, 2012 in his home after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Monday, July 30, 2012 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hazen with Pastor Russ Fitch officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Beulah, North Dakota. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM CDT on Sunday at Barbot-Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen. Keith was born on August 29, 1967 in Hazen to Myron and Diana (Heine) Heinemeyer. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, where he was a member. He attended grade school and graduated from Hazen High School in 1986. He married his high school sweetheart, Leona Disler at St. Matthew's on February 28, 1986. Keith worked for several area farmers and was a rancher himself at one time. He had also become a boilermaker and was a member of the Boilermakers Local 647. Keith loved hunting, fishing, farming, hockey, camping and cooking. He also loved spending time with his family and all of his friends. Keith is survived by his wife of 26 years, Leona of Hazen; two daughters, Carmen (Cory) Phelps of Page, ND and Tiffany Heinemeyer of Bismarck, ND; one son, Ayden of Hazen; three grandchildren, Kylee, Cynthia and Keith; his parents, Myron and Diana Heinemeyer of Hazen; two brothers, Jeffrey (Shellee) of Yankton, SD and Dave (special friend, Audrey) of Mandan, ND; one niece Haylee of Yankton; three nephews, Joshua and Tristan, both of Bismarck and Carson of Yankton; five aunts, Mary, June, Cindy, Cheryl and Carol; two uncles, Lloyd and Jim; and numerous cousins and second cousins. Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Vera Heine and Ernest and Louise Heinemeyer.
