LaVelle Luella Anvik, 85, of Stanton, ND went home to the Lord on May 31, 2021. She passed away at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem, ND surrounded by her daughters. Services will be held on at 10:00 AM CDT on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Stanton with Pastor Dennis Ristvedt officiating. Burial will follow at Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Stanton.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
LaVelle was born on June 13, 1935 in Hazen, ND at a relative’s home. Her parents were Herbert William and Ella Rolanda (Oster) Miller. LaVelle was the first of six children raised on the family farm north of Stanton.
LaVelle and Erhardt Nathaniel Sailer were married June 28, 1952. After the passing of her first love on October 8, 1986, she married Norman Anvik on August 25, 1995.
LaVelle loved her family and friends dearly. The last couple weeks of her life she spent in the hospital and Elm Crest Manor surrounded by the love of her daughters.
LaVelle is survived by her daughter, Judy Ruffatto of Santa Fe, NM with her daughter, Ever Dawn (Joshua) Charles and her sons, Aaron Ruffatto, Christopher Wood and Thomas Wood; her daughter, Valerie (Robert) Zarndt of Clancy, MT with her daughter, Tifeny (Brian) Solan and son Tyler (Bao) Zarndt; her daughter, Pamela (Larry) Damm of Billings, MT with her sons, Seth (fiancée, Felisha Bond) Damm and Nathan (Holly) Damm; and her daughter, Cynthia (Jim) Kukuchka of Fairfield, CA with her daughters, Shelby (Joe) Rivera, Sheri (fiancé, Chris Santos) Chambers, Dana (Jason) Peacock and her son, Sean Kukuchka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Erhardt; her husband, Norman; her sister, Marjean Miller; brother, Gordon Miller; and her nephews, Jeffrey Miller and Dean Rahn.
Mom, thank you for all the fond memories and good times we shared throughout our lifetime together. We will miss you dearly.
