LaVonne (Fischer) Mueller

LaVonne Mueller, 93, of Beulah, died on September 5, 2025, at Sakakawea Medical Center in Hazen, ND.  Services will be held at 10:00 AM CT, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah, with Pastor Kathi Nygaard officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beulah City Cemetery, Beulah, ND.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Lavonne was born in Beulah on February 11, 1932, the eldest child of Arthur and Leona (Miller) Fischer.  She graduated from Beulah High School in 1950.

Lavonne married Paul Mueller in Beulah on November 4, 1955. She was a lifetime resident of Beulah where she was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  LaVonne enjoyed raising flowers, getting together with family and friends, following local sports teams, watching TV and listening to music.  LaVonne moved to the Knife River Care Center in the spring of 2017.

LaVonne is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Paul, son, Duane (Liz); grandchildren David (Olivia) Mueller, and Jamel (Cory) Wald.  Lavonne was also loved by three great-grandchildren- Liam, Raelynn, and Nolan Wald. Other surviving family members include her sister, Esther Fischer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dorothy Becher, Wanda Hartman, Darlene Kukuk, Rose Fischer, Arlys Fischer; brothers, Leslie, Ervin, and Gene Fischer; nephew Russell Fischer.

Our family would like to thank the Knife River Care Center staff for the outstanding care given to LaVonne, Pastor Kathi Nygaard, the Zion Lutheran Church community, and Barbot Funeral Home for their assistance during a difficult time.  We are grateful to all who were able to attend LaVonne’s service – may she rest in peace.
