Lee Walleen

Lee Arling “Wally” Walleen, 58, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Prince of Peace Nursing Home in Ellendale. Private family services will be held.

 Lee was born March 1, 1962 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Joseph and Helen (Hellwig) Walleen.

He married Olena G. LaRoque on May 26, 1989 in Pick City, North Dakota. He graduated from Dickinson College, and obtained his CDL. Lee worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years.

Lee was a devoted husband and father. He loved to go hunting with his family, sing karaoke, and take his kids ice fishing. Lee also loved to play league darts and won the 2002 state dart league championship with Dennis Liebel Sr, he also spent time working on vehicles like his Oldsmobile cutlass supreme. Lee was loved by many and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Olena of Harvey ND; four children Deidra Muller, of  Lyman WY, Kayla (Mark) Jeffery of Mountain Home AR, Timothy Walleen of Bismarck ND, and Nicole Walleen of Harvey ND; one sister, Ellen Walleen of Bismarck ND; eight grandchildren, Kora, Hannah, Ethan, Camilla, Timothy, Sadie, Zhane, and Chanel; and several nieces and nephews.

He is also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael and Joseph Walleen.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
