Linda L. (Brunmeier) Buchmann

Linda Lydia (Brunmeier) Buchmann, 72, Bismarck and formerly of Beulah, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at St. Gabriel’s Assisted Living Community.  Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT, Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah, with Pastor Kent Sperry officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at a later date. 

Linda was born on April 14, 1950 in Hazen, ND, the first of three children, of Leo and Barbara (Renner) Brunmeier.  She was baptized into Christ on May 12, 1950 at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, ND with Fred and Anna Renner as her sponsors.  Linda was confirmed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Hannover, ND on May 17, 1964.  She was raised on a farm 22 miles south of Hazen in the Otter Creek Area.  She attend country school through the 8th grade and then transferred to Beulah High School where she graduated in 1969.  After graduation, she attended Bismarck Junior College.  After college she worked at Sleepy Hollow and Coast-to-Coast in Beulah.

On October 4, 1975, she married John H. Buchmann at Zion Lutheran Church in Beulah.  They resided on the Buchmann family farm south of Beulah.  Linda helped on the farm, hauling many square bales, helping with cattle, and many other chores.  In 1976, they welcomed a son, Jason and in 1979, they welcomed a daughter, Stephanie.  She was a stay at home mom until the early 1990’s when she began to clean houses in the Beulah/Hazen area with her neice, Tina.  In 1999, John and Linda began cleaning The Union Bank and also cleaned the First-Security Bank-West.

Linda taught many years of Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and 8th grade confirmation.  She served several years on Church Council, Altar Guild, and on the ladies work group.  Linda enjoyed doing things for other people and really loved her grandchildren and family.  Her love for her grandchildren produced many photo albums and recipe booklets.  She loved reading her Bible, trying new recipes, washing lots of clothes for family, going out to eat, going for a Sunday drive in the countryside, and most of all she loved doing word finds. 

Linda is survived by her husband, John; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Laura Buchmann, Bismarck, ND; one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and David Hottman, Beulah, ND; eight grandchildren, Josiah, John, Elijah, Elisha, Esther, Ethan, Braelyn, and Cavin; one sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Vernon Boeshans; two brothers-in-law, Keith Bohrer and Duane Boeshans; and many neices and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Sarah Ann Haugen, one sister, Gladys Bohrer, and one brother-in-law, Dallas Guenthner.
