Margaret (Aanderud) Kuch

Margaret Kuch, 79, of Beulah, ND passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Sakakawea Medical Center in Hazen, ND. Services will be held at 2:00 PM CDT, Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah with Pastor Mary Lou Aune officiating. Burial will follow at the Beulah City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM CDT at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah.

Margaret was born on May 4, 1938, the oldest daughter of seven children to Beltram and Hulda (Mindt) Aanderud. She was raised and educated in the Zap, Beulah area where she graduated from Beulah in 1956.

She married her loving husband of 60 years, Donald at Zion Lutheran Church in Beulah on July 14, 1956. Together they were blessed with three children, Jeff, Sandi, and Greg, whom they raised in Beulah. Margaret was first and foremost a dedicated wife and mother. She balanced this effort in a variety of work positions of one being in the motel industry for many years and as kitchen manager at Dakota Gasification Company where she retired.

Margaret belovedly was known as “Maggie”.  She was a one of a kind lady who shared her friendship and love in many areas to family and friends. She was a true entertainer. Her famous recipe for potato salad and canned pickles were shared often during many family gatherings.

Margaret and Donald enjoyed the relaxation at their lake cabin with the daytime views from their deck and evening campfires. She shared her knowledge in the harvesting of garden vegetables and in the canning and preserving of them to her children and grandchildren.

Margaret was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and many good friends. She is survived by her three children: Jeff (Dianne) Kuch, Sandi (Tom) Femling all of Beulah, ND and Greg Kuch of Wahpeton, ND; three grandchildren, Boe Kuch (Dean Jorgensen) of Mandan, ND, Zachary Femling and Joshua Femling both of Beulah; one brother, Albert (Adeline) Aanderud of Beulah; one sister, Janet (Orville) Miller of Temecula, CA; two sisters-in-law, Mardella Aanderud and Leeta Aanderud of Beulah; and one brother-in-law, Bill Misslin of Beulah and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents, three brothers, Donald, Richard, and James; one sister, Glenda; and one grandson, Jeremy Femling.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home of Beulah and Hazen.
