Marlene Roshau, 88, of Hazen, ND passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at her home under the care of her family and Hospice. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Hazen, ND with Father Thomas Grafsgaard officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM CDT on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at St. Martin's Catholic Church with a vigil service at 7:00 PM.
Marlene was born on August 6, 1935, in New Hradec, ND to Andrew and Mildred (Svihl) Binstock. She was raised and educated in New Hradec, ND. The Nuns were her teachers until the eighth grade. She married Richard Roshau on October 25, 1954. They moved to Hazen in 1963 to start their business and raise their family. Marlene was a good mother, homemaker, caterer, and babysitter to her three grandsons, taught CCD for 20+ years and helped Richard in whatever endeavor that was started.
She is survived by three daughters: Karla, Cindy, and Janel; three grandsons: Dan (Beth), Derek (Heather), and Dawson; one great granddaughter: Tori, and three great grandsons: Owen, Tanner, and Logan; one brother: Larry Binstock and one sister-in-law: Shirley Mae Binstock; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (2011), her son, Jeff (2010), her son-in-law, Ken Ziman (2012), her parents, her brother, Tim Binstock, and her sister, Beverly Kuntz.
