Michael “Mike” Hintz, 66 of Stanton, North Dakota, passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2025.
Mike was born February 2, 1959, in Garrison, McLean County to Oscar and Joyce Hintz. He grew up in the Garrison area with his sister, Susie and brother Jack. In 1977, his dad Oscar married Myrna, and he gained two sisters, Kathleen Hintz and Terri Krueger.
Mike married June Krueger, and they had three sons, Michael (MP), Elliott and Anthony.
Mike loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting, making sausage with his family, laughing and drinking beer. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and took every opportunity to be with them. He enjoyed working on vehicles with his best friend, Ryan Farrar. He loved joking around and teasing his sister Susie and all his grandkids, and the visits from his brother Jack from Wyoming.
He loved playing pinochle and whist with his family. He always wanted to bring the family together for game nights and his family will be together to honor, remember and share their best memories of him.
Family was the most important thing to Mike. You could always count on him to be there for you when you needed someone or help with anything. He was a hard worker and worked his whole life to help his family and make sure everyone had what they needed.
He is survived by his sister, Susie Crawford, his brother Jack Hintz, his children Michael Hintz, Elliot and Samantha Hintz, Anthony Hintz, his grandchildren Dustin & Savannah Tesky, Stetson Hintz, Michael Hintz Jr, Skyler Bentley, Macy Hintz, Kaiden Hintz, Shania Hintz (Sweet Pea), great-grandchildren, Delilah, Dustin Jr (DJ) Tesky, Eleckta Teresa Ray SongHawk, Evan Hintz, Evangeline Hintz, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Mothers, Joyce Hintz and Myrna Hintz, Father Oscar Hintz, his Brother-in-law Freeman Crawford.
He will be forever missed and remembered by his family and friends.
Only family services are being held at this time.
