Michael William Ramsden

Michael William Ramsden, 65, of Hazen, ND passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will held at a later date at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Hazen.

Michael was born on October 2, 1958 in Covington, LA to Paul Wayne and Mattie Lou (Milsap) Ramsden. He was raised and educated in a military lifestyle, traveling to numerous places during his youth. After high school graduation, Michael joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served for three years. He continued his travels after his time in the service and moved to the Mercer county area in the mid-1990s. Michael worked at various businesses over the years and spent many years working at Krause’s Market in Hazen.

Michael loved fishing, playing pool and riding his Harley.

He is survived by his wife, Candace of Hazen; his children, Rachael (Cody) Maas of Beulah, Elizabeth (Burton) Williams of Rockhill, SC, Josh Ramsden of South Carolina, and Marvin Virgil of Georgia; his step-children, TJ Bauer of Dickinson and Samantha Hymel of Hazen; 12 grandchildren; his siblings, Carmen (Don) Lawson, Judy Crawford, Kathy Sharp, Aldon (Candi) Morse, Gwen Williams, Kim (Ricky) Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; three sisters, Donna Little, Linda Oleman and Krystal Blow; and one brother, Lucius Walter Morse.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
