Peggy Wolf, 78, of Beulah, ND passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CT on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Beulah Congregational Church, Beulah with Pastor John Fanella officiating. Burial will follow at New Gluechstahl Cemetery, south of Beulah.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Peggy was born on April 5, 1947 during a blizzard in Beulah with a snow plow leading the way to the hospital. She was the second daughter born to Alex and Ida Voegele. They raised their three girls, Judy, Peggy and Joyce, on a farm south of Beulah eventually moving into town. Peggy graduated from Beulah High School in 1965. She was a member of the Beulah Congregational Church.
Peggy married Hilmer Mohl and together they had two sons, Troy and Lance. Peggy and the boys would do cattle round ups/drives. They took trips with family to Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Yellowstone and even some ski trips to Colorado.
Peggy had many jobs which included Galloway’s Super Valu and a local law firm. She enjoyed cooking and serving others. Alongside her mom, they had a chuckwagon. She cooked for the bowling alley. Peggy was known for her fleischkuekle, hot mustard and horseradish. She never turned down an order and was always happy to oblige.
In 1978, Peggy began working at Knife River Coal Mine eventually becoming a heavy equipment operator and later retired. She was one of the first two women ever hired for the job. During her career she was an active member of the United Mine Workers of America Local 1101 and remained a life-long member.
In 1987, Peggy married Dennis Bundy. They lived south of Beulah farming and ranching. Peggy loved animals and together they raised cattle, horses, llama, donkey, sheep, angora goats, miniature horses, variety of chickens, ducks and guinea hens and their wolf dog, Princess. Dennis passed away in 1997.
Peggy went on to marry Perry Wolf. They continued to raise her farm animals adding more along the way including their wolf dogs. They operated several businesses including the Lone Wolf Saloon and the Square Butte Diner in Center, Ida’s Chuckwagon and at the time of her death, Peggy owned the Main Bar in Beulah. Perry passed away in 2021.
Peggy was not one to sit down and rest during her retirement. She had several other jobs over the years working at Destiny Dairy, Fanatics, and Knife River Care Center.
Peggy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Brenda Mohl, Bismarck; her grandchildren, Josh and Rya both of Bismarck; her sister, Judy Schnaidt, Bismarck; brother-in-law, Bill Landis, Linton, IN; her niece, Annette Zeller, Bismarck; nephews, Todd Zeller, Fargo, and Scott Landis, Linton IN; great-nephew, Austin Landis; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as, Sierra Oster and the extended Main Bar family.
Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Lance Mohl; parents, Alex and Ida; sister, Joyce Landis; brother-in-law, Lloyd Schnaidt; and husbands, Dennis Bundy and Perry Wolf.
Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
