Perry Wolf Obituary

Perry E. Wolf, 63, of Beulah, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2021, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, surrounded by his three best girls, Peggy, Jessi and Angi.  Services will be held at 11:00 AM CDT, Monday, October 18, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah, with Pastor Dan Paulson officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  A private family burial will be held at a later date at New Gluechstahl Cemetery, rural Beulah.

Perry was born on May 19, 1958, at Hazen Hospital in Hazen, ND to Ernest and Ida Wolf. Perry was the youngest of five children and grew up on the family farm north of Zap, ND, a place he would cherish forever. He attended school in Zap and later at Bismarck Junior College to become a certified welder. He joined the local pipefitters union and worked on many local power plant projects. Perry was excited to move back to the family farm to raise his own family, along with cattle, horses, and his prized quarter horse, Blackjack. Perry’s daughters, Jessi and Angi, were his real pride and joy. Out of all the things he’s been called, his favorite was Dad. Perry enjoyed spending time with his family at Lake Sakakawea, water skiing and fishing. He also loved to downhill ski, race four-wheelers, and smash cars in local demolition derbies. Perry was baptized at Immanuel Baptist Church, Beulah, ND, where he was a trustee.  He also served on the Zap School Board. Perry was a highly skilled heavy equipment operator working with local companies, including Lindemann Construction and Knife River Coal Mine. He was also an over-the-road truck driver for a time before returning to construction work across the Dakotas. Perry’s life forever changed when he found Peggy Bundy. Together they operated the Lone Wolf Saloon in Center, ND, and lived on a farm south of Beulah, along with their wolves, llamas, goats, mini-donkeys, and a donkey named Festus. In 2014, Perry and Peggy were married and purchased The Main Bar in Beulah. Perry was well-known for his bear hugs and quick wit. He was always up for a game of dice and would entertain everyone with his many stories from his adventurous life.

Perry will be deeply missed by all who knew him and is survived by his wife, Peggy; his daughters, Jessica Binder and Angilee (Jason) Thigpen; his grandchildren, Tracen Barclay, and Daiton, Carter, Owen and Charlee Vi Thigpen; his stepson, Troy (Brenda) Mohl; his step grandchildren, Joshua and Rya Mohl; his siblings, Larry (Lilly) Wolf, Marilyn (Wayne) Beck, Dallas Wolf, and Lonnie (Terry) Unruh; his sister-in-law, Judy Schnaidt; numerous nieces and nephews, and many very dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
