Renae Freuer, 74, of Beulah, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Edgewood Mandan at Lakewood, following a lengthy fight with memory loss and heart failure.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Beulah. Burial will occur at a later date at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 4:00-6:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Beulah with a Parish Vigil at 6:00 PM.
Renae was born on November 2, 1951 to Herb and Christine (Hartze) Czeczok in Bismarck, ND, the third of five children. She was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bismarck. Renae attended Apple Creek School and graduated from St. Mary’s Central High School in 1969. Following high school, she attended Mary College, graduating with an associate’s degree. She married her first husband, Wilbur “Mickey” Drye, in 1973. Renae lived in North Carolina for several years with Mickey before going separate ways and returning to North Dakota. Renae married her forever partner, Harold Freuer, on April 24, 1991.
Renae enjoyed camping, attending concerts, bluegrass music, and spending time with friends and family. While living in North Carolina, she was part of the Hickory Hollow clogging club and competed in multiple clogging competitions. Renae was a very caring person that could find the bright side of any person she met.
Renae is survived by her husband, Harold Freuer, Beulah, ND; children, Tyler Freuer (Jessica), Mandan, ND; and Kristin Freuer, Bismarck, ND; four grandchildren; Wesley, Eleanor, Griffin, and Hudson; brothers Larry Czeczok, Lincoln, ND and Alfred Czeczok, Bismarck, ND and countless nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Renae was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Christine Czeczok; brother, Bob Czeczok; and sister, Loretta Movchan.
Renae leaves behind countless memories as a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed immensely.
