Richard Ben Wissbrod, 75, of Stanton, ND, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Services will be held Monday, June 2 at 10:00 AM CT at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanton with Pastor Dennis Ristvedt officiating. Burial will follow at Stanton City Cemetery, Stanton.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Rick was born February 6, 1950 to Bob and Ellen (Roness) Wissbrod. He grew up and attended school in Noonan, ND.
Throughout his life, Rick learned mechanical skills working on his many vehicles and as a third generation to work at the family-owned Mobil station in Noonan. He learned construction and cement finishing skills working with his uncle Almer Roness in Bowbells, ND, for Froeschle Sons in Bismark, and Pride Contractors of Stanton. He learned mining coal at the Baukol Noonan Mine in Larson, ND, and Glen Harold Mine in Stanton where he was employed for over twenty years.
Rick worked hard but had a lot of fun in life. He enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, hunting, fishing, and anything motorized. At different times he belonged to dart, pool, bowling, and intermural basketball leagues. He enjoyed and cherished friends.
He is survived by daughter, Jennifer (Jim) Boyko; grandchildren, Benjamin, Levi, and Lillian; brother, Dean (Renee) Wissbrod; sister, Debra (Michael) Morin; and his friend of many years, Bobbi Dunaway and her family. He leaves behind cousins and many friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
