Robert Davidson Obituary

Robert (Bob) Davidson, 68 of Hazen, ND went to be with the lord on February 28, 2022. He was surrounded by his family. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Monday, March, 7, 2022 at St. Martin Catholic Church, Hazen with Fr. Tom Grafsgaard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Bob was born in Pittsfield, IL on January 23, 1954, to Robert and Mary (Smith) Davidson. He grew up in Barry, IL and graduated from Barry High School in 1972.  He then went on to graduate in 1976 from Bradley University in Peoria, IL where he received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechanical Technology. After graduation he was offered a position as maintenance supervisor at International Harvester where he worked from 1976 to 1983.  In 1983 he accepted a position with Basin Electric Power Cooperative working at Antelope Valley Station outside of Beulah, ND. He then met and married the love of his life, Joann Goldade on May 27, 1989. They then moved to Hazen, ND where he lived until the Lord took him home.

After retiring from being the planning and scheduling supervisor at Antelope Valley Station in 2013, he studied Autobody Collision at BSC where he graduated in 2015. After graduation he became one of the instructors at BSC for Mechanical Maintenance Technology.

Bob loved to work at his shop that he named Second Life Garage. He enjoyed traveling, baseball, metalworking, movies, car restoration, fishing, grilling, carpentry, football, and anything he could do with his grandkids, family, and pets.

He is survived by his wife Joann; son, Robert Davidson of Mandan, ND; daughter, April (Scott) Schauer of Bismarck, ND; daughter, Holly (James) Heth of Hazen ND; son, Travis Davidson of Hazen, ND; and daughter, Rachel (Brian) Morast of Mandan, ND; grandkids, Jarret and Trace Davidson, Kaden Schauer, Carson and Katelyn Heth; sisters, Emily Lisenby, Elaine (Harold) Spann, Karen Griffith, Sandra Brinkman, and Donna Gordon,; along with numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mary (Smith) Davidson.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
