Bobby was born March 29, 1947 in Hazen to Edwin and Edna (Sailer) Neuberger.  He was the second of 3 children on the family farm.  Bobby was baptized May 4, 1947 and confirmed June 11, 1961 in Hazen. He lived on the farm his whole life and was educated at Hazen Public school.  He later received his GED in the army.

After enlisting in the army May 14, 1968, he served in Vietnam within the 7th Battalion, 8th Field Artillery. Bobby was honorably discharged on December 15, 1969.  Subsequently, he took great pride in his membership in the American Legion as Sergeant-at-Arms for 30 years and Honor Guard for 47 years.

Bobby was a bus driver for the Riverdale school district for several years. Further, he was a skilled butcherer, cook, canner including hot pickles and red wine connoisseur.  Other hobbies included his farm and animals with a fondness for peacocks, chickens, guineas, German Shepherd dogs and pet cows.  He kept careful track of the weather including journaling it every day.  Bobby was a life-long member of Peace Lutheran church serving as a deacon and keeping the back, far pew seat warm.

Bobby will be missed by his family including his sister, Doris (Marvin) Usselmann, Bismarck; nieces Charlene (Kevin) Boeshans, Hazen; Lorie (Brent) McCarthy, Bismarck; and Trisha (Michael) Beckman; nephew Stacy (Michelle) Usselmann, Mandan; sister-in-law, Dorothy Neuberger (Hazen); and great nieces, nephews including Kayla, Liz, Stephanie, Ethan, Evan, Elliot, Anna, Everett, Anthony, Lily and cousins. Friends were an important part of Bobby’s life and he had many dear friends including those in Vietnam.  He treasured his daily phone calls to neighbors, church family, and the Hazen News.

He is proceeded in death by his brother, Kenneth Neuberger; niece Deann Neuberger; his parents Edwin and Edna Neuberger; many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless dear friends.
