Ronald F Rohde

Ronald Frankie Rohde died on March 26, 2018 at his home. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held March 30, 2018, at 3:00 PM CDT at Barbot Funeral Home Chapel, Beulah, ND, with Pastor Tom Olson officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday.

 Ron was born on November 9, 1957, to Harley and Mardella (Neuberger) Rohde. He was raised in Golden Valley and baptized into the Lutheran faith at Golgotha Lutheran Church. He attended Golden Valley school and graduated in 1976.  He worked various jobs until he was hired by Dakota Gasification Company in 1984.  On November 28, 1985, Ron married Cinthia Leach at Golgotha Lutheran Church.  Cindy and Ron lived in Golden Valley until 1990, when they moved to Beulah.  He retired from Dakota Gasification Company on his birthday at the age of 55 because he wanted to enjoy each day forward as a retired person.  Ron loved classic cars, filling his garage so full that he had to build a new shop.  He passed his love for cars onto his children, Caitlin and Cole.  Caitlin took after her dad and had to get a classic car too.  Ron liked NASCAR and spent most weekends watching the race.  The entire family attended a couple of NASCAR races in Vegas and those trips together as a family made wonderful memories.  Ron enjoyed fishing and nature and spent most of the summer at their lake place.  In the winter, Ron and Cindy traveled to the Lake Havasu, Arizona area where they enjoyed fun in the sun.  Ron passed the time spent at home working on model HO trains and model airplanes.  His greatest joy was when he walked his daughter Caitlin down the aisle in October 2017.

Ron is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Cindy of Beulah, ND; his son, Cole of Dickinson, ND; his daughter, Caitlin McNeilly and her husband, Connor of Tomball, TX; his mother, Mardella Rohde of Dickinson ND; his brother, Elliott Rohde (Ava Schoepp) of Bismarck, ND; sister, Bonnie Heidecker (Stan) of Dickinson ND; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clark & Bonnie Leach of Dickinson ND; his sister-in-law, Claudette (Leach) Carroll (Shane) of Moffit, ND; brothers-in-law, Rick Leach of Dickinson, ND and William Leach (Marie) of Leola, AR and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Harley; his brother, Dennis; mother-in-law, Sharon (Reisenauer) Leach; one niece and one nephew.

The family prefers memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
