Terry DeHaven

Terry DeHaven died at his home surrounded by his loving wife Alana and his daughters, Sadie, Adria and Angie on July 6, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Private family services will be held.

Terry was born in Minot, ND and grew up in Garrison, ND.  The summer of 1972 Terry met Alana, the love of his life.  They settled in Stanton, ND where they raised four children.

Terry worked as a millwright in and out of state.  A recent trip with Alana and his daughters will be forever cherished where Terry shared stories about his work experiences at the different places he worked. He was an avid coin collector.  He enjoyed the 4th of July, he liked his music loud and having a great time with his family and friends.  Terry loved fishing and spent countless hours on the water, sharing his passion with his children and grandchildren.

Through the stories will be missed, his memory will be carried, remembering his lessons and the pride he took in his work and life.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alana; children, Pete DeHaven of Jamestown, Sadie DeHaven of Mandan, Adria DeHaven of Mandan, Angie Berger (Tim) of Mandan; 10 grandchildren, Jared, Kalynn, Jacob, Jadyn, Alysia, Grace, Emma, Janie, Jacie and Joleigh;  two great-grandchildren, Ryker and Tyson; three brothers, Bob, Greg (Darcy), Tom; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Robert DeHaven.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
