Terry Lynn Martin, 71, of Hazen ND died peacefully at his home on April 21, 2026. Visitation will be held May 3, 2026 from 2 PM CST to 4 PM CST at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah, ND.
Terry was born in Billings, Montana on August 22, 1954. He was adopted and raised by Henry and Georgia (Miller) Martin. He was raised in Billings, Montana and graduated High School in 1973 from Billings West High School. He joined the United States Air Force on July 27, 1973, and was stationed at the Minot Air Force Base. A proud Airman First Class, he dedicated five years of his life to serving his country.
Terry fathered a son and two daughters. He resided in Bismarck for a few years before he settled in Beulah, ND in 1989. He later married Isay (Heltera) Martin, who brought two daughters and two sons to the marriage. He worked at Coteau Properties Co. Freedom Mine for over 30 years fixing the oversized tires on the mining equipment. He moved to his home in Hazen in 2017. Those close to him know the pride he took in his work and always recognized the coveted personalized license plate on his truck that reads “TIREMAN.”
Terry liked to keep things simple and straightforward. He was happiest spending time outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping. His loved ones will greatly miss gathering with him around a fire in the summer.
Terry is survived by his wife, Isay; his son Travis (Krystal) Martin, Dickinson; his daughter Ashley (Eric) Koffler, Dickinson; his stepsons Ranny Heltera Jr. and Brent Flattum-Riemers; his stepdaughters Ruthie Pritchard and Marla Pizzuto; grandchildren Gabrielle, Tania, Alexander, Emree, James, Elijah, Malea, Tony, Ella, Jace, Gavin, Grace, Kalia, and Aiden; and great grandchildren Chandler, Sahara, Atticus, Dahlia, Aryanna, Ananias, Gideon and Declan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Nicole Martin.
