Theresia (Manolovits) Pfenning

Theresia (Manolovits) Pfenning, 90, former resident of Hazen, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023, at the St. Benedictine Community in Bismarck, ND.

She was born July 15, 1933, in Mott, ND, to Ferdinand and Katherine (Stoat) Manolovits. She attended school in Mott, Los Angeles, CA, and Billings, MT, where she would graduate from Billings Central High School in 1951. She would later attend The Capital Commercial College in Bismarck, ND where she obtained a business certificate.

Theresia (Teri) enjoyed being outdoors, watering flowers and keeping her yard looking nice. She enjoyed doing crafts, decorating for holidays, baking Christmas cookies, doing word puzzles, coloring and spending time with her family and friends. She loved to travel and had a collection of magnets from the places she had visited displayed on her refrigerator and enjoyed sharing her adventures with others.

She is survived by her children Michael Ott, Karen (Dan) Ott-Anvik, Dale Ott, David (Janica) Sabot and Lynda Keller, 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Katherine Manolovits, her brothers, Fritz, Joesph, Nick and William, her sisters, Kathryn (Katie); Annie; Mary, and Eva and her daughter-in-law Nancy Mower.

The family will be having a memorial service celebrating her life next summer.
