Vincent was born on May 26, 1935, to Herman and Rosie (Eisenbraun) Oestreich. Vincent graduated from Center in 1953. While attending Dickinson State College, Vincent met his wife, Margaret. They were married on June 1,1956, and spent 52 wonderful years together until her passing in 2008.
Vincent taught school full time for 20 years. He loved teaching and stayed connected with many of his former students through the years. While teaching he also worked for Winger Cheese, drove school bus, coached basketball, and farmed.
Due to new teaching requirements, Vincent started a new career working for Shimmin Lumber until its closure. He then started working for Mercer County and retired after 20 years. After Margaret’s passing, Vincent started working part time at the Hazen Bottle Shop for 10 years.
Vincent married Mary (Sandberg) on July 29, 2017.
Vincent was very dedicated to his faith in God. He loved sharing scripture and using scripture to teach and give advice in life lessons. Vincent was always available to help his kids, grandkids and great grandkids with homework, church lessons and playing games.
Vincent is survived by his wife Mary and his children Randy Oestreich, Gwen (Terry) Fahlsing, Jeff (Linda) Oestreich, Loree (Monty) Sailer, and stepson Chad Sandberg (Kendra).
Grandchildren and great grandchildren: Trista (Jerrod DeWitt) Shanie and Natalie; Kelsey (Marshall Fears) Thomas and Nicholas Bickerstaff and Tucker Fears; Allison (Logan Steffen); Matthew Oestreich; Lisa, Chance Crowley; Emily (Brandon Lewis) Kaylee Sailer, Landon Cook and Davian Lewis; Amanda, Tate and Maddox Sailer; Dillon (Sarah Sailer); Breanna Sailer (Zach Beachy); Terry Fahlsing Jr (Emily Pfliger) Rylan and Fynlee; Tyler (Jadyn Baer) Tylee; and Paige Eigneheer.
Vincent is survived by many nieces and nephews and their children. He is also survived by one brother-in-law Jim Barthel. Vincent is proceeded in death by his wife Margaret, his parents, brothers, Arvid (Barbara) and Herman (Henrietta) and step-daughter, Tina Sandberg.
