Violet Rose (Adolf) Isaak

Violet Rose Isaak, 92, of Hazen, ND, was born on March 12, 1931, to Reinhold and Pauline (Oster) Adolf in Hazen. She joined her Lord and Savior in the Kingdom of Glory on April 5, 2023. The celebration of her life will be at 10:00 AM CDT on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hazen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Vi met Armond Isaak at the Beulah Sheep Shed dance and a lifetime partnership began. Following Armond’s service in Korea, they were married on May 22, 1953. Growing up in the 1930’s and 40’s was difficult, and her parents believed that girls shouldn’t go to high school. She spent a lifetime proving them wrong by educating herself. Vi loved gardening, canning, and growing flowers. She took up cake decorating and many foreign food classes. Pam joined the family in 1954 and Randy in 1959. They have fond memories of camping and spending time at the lake. Vi and Armond built their lake house. Vi developed an interest and great skill in oil painting, including the challenge of doing portraits. Vi partnered with, and supported Armond, in various business enterprises including the Mobil Service station on main street in Hazen, Independent Oil, ZORA Oil, and Vike Properties. At church she participated in the LWML, Braille and quilting groups, and teaching Sunday school for many years. They loved Hazen area and never wanted to leave. Blessed to have shared her life are, her daughter, Pam (Dick) Dever, Bismarck; her son, Randy (Heidi) Isaak, New Hope, MN; grandchildren, Justin (Michelle) Dever, Adam (Sonya) Dever, Heather (Bob) Ziebarth, Emma Isaak, Armond Isaak, Mary Isaak (fiancé Ben Moritz); great-grandchildren Lily, Reagan, Brekken, Daisy, Reese, Olivia, Abby, Sylvia, David, Daniel, Cameron and Julia; several nieces and nephews and cherished lifelong friends. Greeting her in Heaven are her parents; husband, Armond; brothers, Clarence, and Ervin Adolf; sisters, Hertha and Ida Knell, and Frieda Guenthner; and in-laws, Irene and Bernice Adolf, Otto Guenthner, Traugott and Arnold Knell.
