Virginia Helen (Roll) Peterson

Virginia Helen (Roll) Peterson, 85, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Hill Top Comfort Homes surrounded by her family.  Services will be held at 10:00 AM MDT, Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Dodge, with Pastor J. Scott Pierson officiating.  Burial will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery, rural Dodge.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM CDT, Wednesday at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Virginia was born July 4, 1938 to Alexander and Mary (Bader) Roll at Taylor, ND.  She was raised in Hebron, ND where she met Wencil Peterson, they were united in marriage on August 31, 1955.  They moved to Dodge, ND where they raised five children and owned Peterson Trucking for 54 years, Virginia was also employed by Progressive Maintenance at DGC.  Virginia served on the Dodge City Council for six years and was president of the D S O while the children attended school.  Virginia enjoyed playing SKIP-BO, Bingo, several other card games, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, crocheting, sewing and cooking.

Virginia is survived by her children: Wesley (Robin) Peterson, DeEtta (Rueben) Wysocki, L’nette (Russ) Stein; grandchildren, Christin (Jon), Stacey, Tyler (Jena) Peterson, Cody (Kaicee) Hetzler, Kaylee Stein, McKinzee (Dalton) Magill and Jasmine Castillo; great-grandchildren, Shawn and Brooklyn Logsdon, Nellie Magill, Jaimee Tatro & Maggie Wadeson; brother, Ted (Diane) Roll; sister, Dolly (John) Edwards.  A special friend Pat Mckinney and numerous nieces and nephews.

Loved ones that have went before Virginia, parents, Alex and Mary; husband, Wencil; son, Dale; daughter, Lea Ann; one great-granddaughter Madison Logsdon; siblings, Francis, Maurice, Mary Lou, Edith & Evangeline; son-in-law, Donald Hetzler and a special friend Beatrice Keller.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer, ND for taking good care of Virginia while she was a resident.
