Wanda (Mohl) Morast

Wanda Lee Morast, 61, of Beulah, ND passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022. Services will be held at 2:00 PM CDT on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Beulah with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM CDT on Wednesday, June 15 at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Wanda was born on June 14, 1960 in Richardton, ND to Delores (Martin) and Edwin Mohl. She grew up and attended school in Halliday, ND and graduated from Halliday High School in 1978. She worked in Dickinson for a short time following high school before moving to Beulah where she met her future husband, Larry Morast. The couple married on June 26, 1981 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Halliday. Wanda and Larry resided in Beulah, where they raised their family. Wanda worked at DGC for a time and later began working at Beulah Lumber. She was employed at the lumber yard for 12 years before she retired.

Wanda loved spending time at the lake. She enjoyed camping, fishing and kayaking. She also liked to bowl and was on a league for many years. Wanda was also skilled at cross-stitching and sewing and enjoyed doing crafts. Above all, she cherished time with her family and always put them first.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Larry; her children, Corey (Donna) Mohl, Brian (Rachel) Morast, Keith (Alisha) Morast and Mary Jo (Matt) Paschall; 11 grandchildren and one grandchild on the way; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Delores Mohl; two siblings, Bob Mohl and Terry Tuhy; two sisters-in-law, Velvet (Steve) Beck and Nora Morast; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Mohl; one infant brother; her in-laws, Melvin and Janet Morast; her sister-in-law, Missy Mohl; and her brother-in-law, Dennis Morast.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
