William White Owl

William Jordan White Owl, 31, of Bismarck, ND passed away Monday, July 24, 2023. He started his journey peacefully in his sleep. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Twin Buttes Wellness Center, Twin Buttes, ND with Rev. Duane Fox officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Twin Buttes.

A wake service will begin at 5:00 PM CDT on Thursday, July 27 at Twin Buttes Wellness Center.

William was born on May 31, 1992 in Minot, ND to Eugene White Owl, Sr. and Christine Coming Hay. William AKA “Chubbas” grew up in Four Bears Village along with his family. He was always outside with friends. He also was raised in Halliday, ND. While going to school he played basketball and started to love and play chess. Chubbas then moved to Fargo, ND where he went to school and made many friends. After a few years he moved back to New Town, ND where he met Karen Grady. They were blessed with Jordan Xavier in 2011. Later, he met Franki Lockwood, the love of his life. The couple were married on July 6, 2017 and added two children to their family, Hailey and Marie. William’s children were his happiness. Besides his family, Chubbas loved to watch movies, especially anime. He still enjoyed playing chess and listening to music, especially The Weeknd. Chubbas loved a pink X’O bonnet his mother crocheted for his daughter, Hailey. He also loved to play games online with his brothers, son and nephews. Chubbas loved being around siblings where he would always joke and tease, especially when around Aaron James, Baby Mark and Brian H.

William is survived by his wife, Franki; his children, Jordan, Hailey and Marie; his mother, Christine Love Joy; his pops, Frank White, Sr.; his siblings, Matthew White, Colette White, Frank (Tiara) White, Jr., Charmaine (Lyndon) Grey Bear, Rebecca White, Justin Coming Hay, Ryan Coming Hay, Jones White Owl, Deborah White Owl; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

William is preceded in death by his father, Eugene White Owl, Sr.; his daughter; his sister White Flowers White; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Inez White Owl; maternal grandparents, Joseph Coming Hay and Germaine and Franklin Howard, Jr.; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and grandparents.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
