Daniel Knudson, 50, of North Sioux City, SD formerly of Beulah, ND passed away on October 1, 2016. Services will be held at 9:00 AM CDT on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah with Pastor Mary Lou Aune officiating.

 Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Daniel Alan Knudson was born on April 12, 1966 in Bowman, ND. He was the son of Duane and Deanna (Gustafson) Knudson. At the age of one and a half the family moved to Beulah where he grew up, attended school and graduated in 1984. In high school, Dan loved participating in music, swing choir and wrestling.

Daniel attended college at NDSU in Fargo, ND. While attending school he worked part time at Menards. In 1990 he took a full time job with them in Springfield, IL. Daniel worked for the company in managerial positions for 20 years. He was currently employed with Guardian Building Supplies in Sioux City, IA.

Daniel was a huge sports fan. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan from a very young age. Daniel left us memories of such good times! He was such a good guy, as a boss and a friend. He brought smiles and laughter to us all.

Even though Daniel is not here with us now, he will continue to bring us joy through friends and family that will always keep his memory alive!

He is survived by his son, Brett of Jamestown, ND; his daughters, Breanna of Springfield, IL and Taylor of Morris, IL; his mother, Deanna of Beulah; his brother, David (Tonia) of Beulah; his sister, Denise of Fargo, ND; three nephews, Dustin (Bridget) and Steven all of Fargo and Austin of Grand Forks, ND; three uncles, Merle (Marge) Gustafson of Burnsville, MN, Chapin (Janet) Gustafson of Cavalier, ND, and Harvey (Carol) Knudson of Sun Lake, AZ; and one aunt, Marion (Lynn) LaBrie of Corona, CA.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Duane.
